Most shipping losses are not about oxygen — they happen because shrimp get funnelled into the sharp corners at the bottom of the bag. The van jolts, the bag rocks, and the whole batch slides into one point and piles up. This bag is heat-sealed along a curve, so there is no dead corner left to trap them.
Sharp corners are where shrimp die
A straight-sealed bag has two sharp corners at the bottom. Every time the vehicle brakes or the box tilts, shrimp collect there — the ones underneath take the weight of the whole batch, and any that have just moulted are soft. Losses climb. A curved seal removes both points: the base becomes a shallow bowl, so shrimp that slide still spread out instead of stacking in one spot.

How many bags per kilo?
Film thickness varies slightly by batch, so the count per kilo moves a little. Message us and we will weigh the current batch and give you an exact figure.
How many shrimp per bag?
It depends on shrimp size and trip length. As a rule, water fills about a third and the rest is oxygen — and splitting into another bag always beats packing one tight.
