Siphon Airlift Substrate Cleaner — Clean the Waste, Keep the Substrate & Minerals
Maintaining a shrimp tank has never been this gentle. Jack Shrimp's Siphon Airlift removes shrimp waste, leftover food and detritus settled on the bottom — while keeping your substrate and precious minerals exactly where they belong. All the debris is trapped in a filter bag and clean water flows straight back into the tank.
Clean the waste · Keep the substrate · Lose no minerals. All you need is an air stone — no pump, no electricity underwater.
The problem with ordinary siphoning
Traditional siphons rely on strong water suction: cleaning the waste also drags away the substrate, strips out minerals, disturbs the bacterial colony and — worst of all — can suck up baby shrimp. Every cleaning session shakes the whole tank, swings the water parameters, and stresses your shrimp.
How the Siphon Airlift solves it
Instead of harsh suction, the Siphon Airlift harnesses the power of Airlift — the bubble stream from an air stone creates a soft, just-enough flow that lifts light detritus through the filter bag, while the heavier substrate grains stay put:
Keeps substrate & minerals: the gentle flow only lifts suspended waste, never draining your base layer or the minerals that feed your shrimp.
Filter bag traps waste — clean water returns: debris is caught in the bag while clear water flows back, so you lose almost no water and parameters stay stable.
Safe for baby shrimp: the airlift flow is gentle, not strong enough to pull in babies or molting shrimp.
No pump, no underwater electricity: just plug it into your existing air pump — safe and economical.

Why shrimp keepers choose the Siphon Airlift
Clean the substrate daily without breaking the tank's ecosystem.
Fewer water changes — stable parameters, less stressed shrimp.
Reusable filter bag — just rinse and reuse.
3D printed by Jack Shrimp — purpose-built for shrimp tanks, sturdy and durable.
Runs quietly — no motor noise, no vibration.
How to use
Connect the Siphon's Airlift tube to your air pump.
Fit the filter bag onto the outlet to catch the waste.
Lower the intake close to the substrate where debris sits.
Turn on the air — the airlift gently carries waste through the bag, clean water returns to the tank.
When done, remove the bag, rinse it, dry it and reuse.
