Snow on red, stars in clusters
The two names describe two different things. Snowfall is the fine white speckling laid across the whole body β dense enough that from a distance it reads as settled snow. Asterism is what happens when those flecks stop scattering evenly and gather into bright patches over a darker base, the way stars gather into a constellation.
The higher the grade, the denser the snow, the cleaner the edge between highlight and base, and the more evenly red the head, legs and tail fan run. This is a line you have to look at closely, which is why we always send close-ups before anything is confirmed.

- Top-of-colony picks β highest contrast, very limited
We don't sell below SS on this line. Lower-grade animals stay in the breeding colony.
Water parameters
Taiwan Bee live on stability. Drifting a few TDS points a day won't hurt them; a 30 ppm jump in one water change will. Keep temperature under 24Β°C, change little but often, and leave the substrate alone.
An active buffering soil is not optional β ADA Gold, SL-Aqua and Geilee all work. Inert soil, or soil that has run out of buffering capacity, is the number one reason Taiwan Bee colonies fade out.
Lay the soil, cycle it
A 4β6 cm bed of active buffering soil, dosed with bacteria, cycled for at least 4β6 weeks before anything goes in. Don't rush this.

An airlift undergravel keeps the substrate undisturbed and can't pull shrimplets in. On a high-grade tank this is the best money you'll spend.

Drip acclimate over 2β3 hours. Once the colony settles, add selected males to keep genetic spread and push the grade rate in the next generation.

Why is there no listed price?
Because every shrimp is priced on its own. Within the same grade, denser snow or tighter clusters change the number. We send photos and video of each animal and quote that animal β fairer for both sides.
How do I order?
Message us with the grade you're after and how many. We send close-ups and video of what's available, you pick, we hold them and quote the total.
Is it always in stock?
No. This line is kept in small numbers, and SSS and Extreme usually mean waiting for a batch. Message ahead and we'll put you in the queue.
Is it beginner-friendly?
It can be, but run a stable Caridina tank for a few months first. High-grade Taiwan Bee do not forgive a new tank or soil that hasn't matured.
Do they ship safely?
We pack in heat-sealed round-bottom bags so shrimp can't get trapped in a corner, with oxygen and insulation. DOA cover is agreed before anything ships.
